Open Kitchen at People's History Museum

We're excited to offer Open Kitchen Cafe & Bar at the People's History Museum as a collection point on Tuesdays.

Open Kitchen Cafe & Bar is a social enterprise and ethical food venue. They work with a huge range of food businesses to stop beautiful food from going to waste, and also buy ingredients, sourcing only local, ethical, and sustainably produced food and drink. They buy their veg from Kindling Trust through the Manchester Veg People scheme. Open Kitchen offer ethically sourced coffee and teas, vegan breakfast wraps, lots of veggie and vegan options for lunch, and home-made vegan and gluten free cakes.

The actual museum is closed on Tuesdays presently so, to collect, enter the building through the main cafe entrance on Bridge Street (not the main museum entrance on Left Bank) and ask at the service counter to collect your veg bag. The cafe can be very busy during the lunch period (12noon - 1.30pm), so if you can avoid this time, they’d be grateful. If popping over at lunch is your only option they completely understand, but they might ask for your patience while they serve customers.
